SEN Bird & Animal Experience – November 15th & 22nd 10.00-11.30
We are now offering SEN bird and animal experiences on Saturday mornings in November 10.00 – 11.30. These work shops have been designed to allow the children interaction with our birds and animals. The range of birds and animals allow the children to view them closely, touch and interact.
All of the children are encouraged to experience the birds and animals as much as possible, however some children may well choose to look from a distance. Our experienced keepers will aim to reduce anxieties that the children may have around individual animals, we have found by creating a calm and relaxed environment, this can often be achieved.
November 15th – Birds of Prey 10.00 – 11.30
Children will have the opportunity to meet and handle some different species of birds of prey, ask the falconers any questions they may have and learn about them. There will also be opportunities for the children to have a go at flying a hawk.
November 22nd – Furry and Scaled Friends 10.00 – 11.30
Our animal keepers will be introducing the children to some of our furry friends we have on the farm including our rabbits, guinea pigs, Penelope our skunk and some of our reptiles. Children will be able to meet and touch the animals as well as feeding them.
We recommend warm outdoor clothing. In the event of bad weather we have a large indoor heated barn
£14.00 per child and includes one free adult, additional adults £8.00 per person
Each session includes admission into the farm and bird of prey centre for the day.
